Itinerary


DAY ONE - DEPARTURE!


Depart from JFK to Lisbon, Portugal

DAY TWO - ARRIVAL


Arrive in Lisbon early and head to our hotel. We will drop off our luggage and head out for a walking tour.


Walking Tour Description: Essential History, Fun Facts, and Free Tastings


With The Most Entertaining and Passionate Local Guides, we'll get to know:


-The historical neighborhoods of Bairro Alto, Chiado, Baixa (Downtown) and Alfama;

-The essential history of Portugal throughout the streets of Lisbon;

-Fun facts about the Portuguese people, their culture, and their habits;

-Great sightseeing spots;

-A lot of smart tips to make the most of our vacation in Lisbon;

-Free Tasting of the best Pastel de Nata (Portuguese Custard Tart) in Lisbon and much more.


After our 3-hour tour, we will head back to the hotel and head out to a welcome dinner later on in the evening.

DAY THREE -PRIVATE FOOD AND WINE TOUR: FROM STREET TO GOURMET


Lisbon is one of Portugal’s most dynamic foodie destinations, but it takes a local to know where to find the best bites and sips in the city. After breakfast, we will join a local guide to explore Lisbon’s vibrant neighborhoods and discover the top eateries from landmark restaurants to street food classics. We will:


-Learn about the history of Portuguese cuisine as we stop to sample more than a dozen specialties washed down with national wines and beers. 

-Explore the food scene in a variety of panoramic Lisbon neighborhoods 

-Feast on 16 samples from seafood to street food, plus Port wine and beer 

-Spot Mediterranean, African, and Indian influences in Portuguese cuisine. Afterward, we will enjoy the day at leisure. 


Meals included: Breakfast plus food from the food and wine tour.

DAY FOUR - BEACH DAY


After breakfast, we will leave Lisbon and head towards the beautiful town of Cascais. We will enjoy a walk along the Marginal, while discovering the beautiful Cascais Bay. We will visit the Village and Citadel for about 1 hour, then we can enjoy relaxing on the beach. Afterward, we will have a beautiful walk along the Guincho road so that we can enjoy the view and the sun on the fine, golden sand beach. 


This will be a great way to spend our morning. We will then head back to Lisbon and have the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY FIVE - FREE DAY/SUNSET SAILING 

TOUR


After breakfast, we will enjoy today at leisure. At 5:30 pm, we will admire Lisbon at its most magical during a sunset tour on the Tagus River, which departs two hours before sunset to give us ample time on the water. We will enjoy wine and snacks, and get a new perspective on top riverside attractions such as Belém Tower. Afterward, we can grab a group dinner together.


Meals included: Breakfast, Wine and Snacks aboard the ship.

DAY SIX- GOODBYE

After a scrumptious last breakfast, we’ll travel as a group to the airport, where we’ll hug and say au revoir! It’s sadly time to go home.

  • What is the refund policy for this trip?

    All deposits and payments are nonrefundable because we are using your payments to purchase non-refundable items such as your flights, tours, etc. We strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance in case you need to cancel. Please contact us for an insurance quote.

  • What happens if I miss a payment plan payment?

    The payment plan was designed so that we can purchase items on your behalf in a certain manner. If you miss a payment, we may not have enough in your account to purchase your flights, tours, etc. If that is the case, we have to wait until we receive your payments and prices can increase in that time. If it does, you are responsible for the additional cost.

  • Are kids allowed?

    This trip is recommended for anyone over the age of 12.

  • Can I arrive earlier or stay later than the recommended dates?
